The National Careers Service prime contractor team, delivery team and sub-contractors are celebrating another Grade 2 outcome from the February 2017 Ofsted inspection of the Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Warrington & Staffordshire regional contract.
Carol Jamieson, Director of Adult Careers said: “It was another fantastic achievement for everyone involved in only a couple of months following the Liverpool, Cumbria & Lancashire inspection in November 2016. . Grade 2 (Good) ratings were achieved for all judgement areas of the inspection including leadership and management. We now have consistency in service quality across both our regional contracts in the North West & Staffordshire.
"Ofsted experienced staff in the prime team ensured that early preparation and forward planning contributed to the smooth running of the inspection, learning from the prior inspection in November 2016. A celebration of success took place with the prime contract team, internal and external service managers on 27th February at the Regional Quality Strategy Group, where good practice and lessons learned were also disseminated.
Jerry Stokes, Managing Director Employment for MGC said ”We are delighted with the outcome of both inspections as this is a challenging contract to deliver. Retaining our Grade 2 status is likely to be critical for our positioning for re-procurement in 2017-18, so these results mattered.”
Mark Hughes, MGC Group Chief Executive said: “Our NCS team did a great job here. The pleasing result reflects the high quality careers information, advice and guidance that we and our partners deliver through the National Careers Service. We’re committed to continuously improving our services and look forward to further developing this important work.”
