We’re delighted to announce that The Growth Company (GC) has been re-appointed to deliver the National Careers Service contract  across the North West of England until 2021.

Following our successful bid for the £17m contract, we will deliver careers information, advice and guidance to the residents of Greater Manchester, Liverpool City Region, Lancashire, Cheshire and Warrington from 1st October 2018.

The Growth Company’s re-appointment is an endorsement of our exceptional 20-year track record delivering careers guidance to adults across the region, and will enable us to continue our successful work in this area.

Mark Hughes, responsible for delivering the National Careers Service in the North West, said:  

“Over the four year lifespan of our existing National Careers Service contract  we have supported more than 264,000 adults, with 72,535 progressing into work and learning. I’m delighted that we’ll now have the opportunity to build on this success and support even more individuals across the region to achieve their personal ambitions.

The National Careers Service sits at the heart of the recently launched Careers Strategy and reflects the ambitions of the Industrial Strategy. It has a clear focus on improving social mobility through co-ordinated activity and effective collaborative working, closely aligning it with our own values and mission to leave a lasting legacy of growth wherever we work and whoever we work with.

Over the next 3 years, the contract will support over 164,000 adults aged 19+ and will provide an enhanced delivery model including innovative digital tools that enable and support each customer journey, providing a personalised career growth programme.
