People in Greater Manchester are feeling more job confidence according to a survey by the National Careers Service.
Their second quarterly Job Confidence Index shows that the city's score is at 53.0, above the overall North West score of 52.1 and just behind the national score of 53.5.
The Index, based on research looking at various issues affecting someone's confidence in finding work, analyses the state of the nation's work and employment prospects and shows that in the North West, improvements in job confidence have been driven predominately by unemployed people having a more positive outlook.
Research for the index, which measures overall job confidence and job confidence among the unemployed, shows that 72% of Greater Manchester residents were job confident, or maintained the same confidence levels in their job and ability to find work over the last three months.
