December saw the Yorkshire Activity Hubs host several festive activities for all to take part in. The team spent days volunteering with wellness centre ADIRA, to pack and deliver over 520 Christmas food hampers to people in need in South Yorkshire.

At the CFO Activity Hub in Leeds, Christmas card, decoration and wreath making classes were held last month in the build-up to Christmas, as well as a seasonal meal on the 22nd, where the hub’s catering tutor and cookery class participants made a celebratory meal and showcased their achievements over the past year.

Looking ahead into 2022, the Leeds activity hub have updated their regular weekly group sessions, with new activities including a client led ping-pong group, games afternoon, movie club and sports club. They have now received their 200th referral to the hub! The more referrals they get, the more fun and innovative activities they’re able to run.

Through the Growth Company’s Justice Services, people on probation will be provided with a safe and supportive environment to support their rehabilitation and resettlement in society.

Contact the hub to learn about a range of tailored support, including one-to-one advice, guidance, and group work, enabling individuals to move closer to getting back into employment, training, and education. The service aims to equip offenders with the right skillset needed to help them desist from reoffending and instead contribute to their local communities.
