This course is designed to develop yourskills and knowledge to become a highly competent and skilled plumber.
The Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing covers;
Health and safety
Key plumbing principles
Traditional plumbing processes
Central heating systems
Sheet lead & copper pipe bending
Cold & Hot water supply
You will also study towards your Functional Skills in English and Maths at Level 1 – if required.
You will gain technical knowledge and practical skills whilst on the course. You will need to demonstrate that you can apply these new skills and knowledge effectively and you be assessed during practical assignments, unit end tests and online tests.
Once you have completed the course you will need to gain experience applying your new learning with qualified trade people and carry out all aspects of traditional plumbing activities including complex installations and service and maintenance of hot/cold water systems.
Once you are able to gain this experience you could be assessed against the NVQ so that you can gain the full Plumbing qualification.
There are opportunities to progress on to a full Level 2 Apprenticeship once employment within the industry has been gained. Upon completion of the Level 2 Apprenticeship you could move on to an advanced apprenticeship at Level 3 in Plumbing.
