Backed by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and part of the Youth Guarantee, the Jobs Guarantee provides funded six-month paid work for young people aged 18 to 21.

We deliver the Jobs Guarantee in all 10 boroughs of Greater Manchester: Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford, and Wigan.
What is the Jobs Guarantee?

Jobs Guarantee FAQs
The Jobs Guarantee is a government‑funded programme in Greater Manchester that offers young people aged 18 to 21 a six‑month paid work placement, while giving local employers fully funded extra support.
Wages are fully funded through the programme, with no payroll costs for employers across Greater Manchester.
Placements are for 18 to 21‑year‑olds living in Greater Manchester who have been on Universal Credit and looking for work for 18 months or more.
Employers across Greater Manchester receive end‑to‑end support from the Growth Company, including help with recruitment, onboarding and ongoing guidance during the placement.
Employers are expected to offer meaningful employment for 25 hours per week, provide guidance and management, and help the young person gain skills and experience in the workplace.
