Pathways to Work is a new programme designed to tackle high rates of economic inactivity and boost employment.
The programme aims to help people find, stay in, or return to work, with specific support available for those with health conditions.
South Yorkshire is one of nine regions or ‘trailblazers’ that will receive funding to deliver Pathways to Work. The Growth Company delivers the programme in Sheffield on behalf of Sheffield City Council.
Pathways to Work can help people with:
1-to-1 job search support
CV writing help
Interview coaching
Job application assistance
Access to training and courses
In-work support
Confidence and motivation building
Digital skills support
Links to employers and vacancies
Economically inactive residents who are aged 16 or over, live in Sheffield, and have the right to live and work in the UK are eligible to join the Pathways to Work.
Keyworkers can also work with unemployed residents (i.e. claiming UC/JSA via the Jobcentre) who are at risk of social exclusion and would benefit from additional community-based support.
Referrals are invited via pathways[at]gcemployment.uk.
