Support
You will be provided with a dedicated Restart Scheme Advisor, who will support you to access the wide range of Restart Scheme services and support available. You'll be in touch with your Restart Scheme Advisor at least every two weeks by your preferred method of contact, with face to face in-person meetings every 4 weeks.
Collaboration & Communication
Working together with your Restart Scheme Advisor is the best way to make Restart Scheme work for you. Open, honest communication will enable us to provide the right support and best opportunities for you. Together we will design and agree the best support for you, giving you choice and control.

Restart Scheme FAQs
The Restart Scheme is a Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) initiative offering up to 12 months of tailored, intensive employment support to people who have been on Universal Credit for more than six months. It helps individuals overcome barriers to employment through a wide range of personalised services.
The scheme supports people who have been receiving Universal Credit for over six months and are seeking help to move closer to or into sustainable employment. Referrals are made through your Jobcentre Plus Work Coach.
Participants receive 1‑to‑1 support from a dedicated Restart Scheme Advisor, who provides personalised guidance, skills development, confidence support, and access to local job opportunities. You’ll stay in touch at least every two weeks, with an in‑person meeting every four weeks.
The Growth Company delivers the Restart Scheme across several regions, including South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, the North West, and Greater Manchester, working with partners such as Maximus UK, G4S, and Ingeus.
