What is WorkWell?

Good work can support our health and wellbeing. It can help us build confidence, develop skills, connect with others, and find purpose.

If a health condition is affecting your ability to stay in work, return to work, or find work, WorkWell can help.

Funded by the UK government and delivered by the Growth Company in Bury and Wigan, WorkWell offers personalised support to help you overcome health-related barriers to work and achieve your career goals. We can support you whether you’re employed, self-employed, or recently unemployed due to a health condition.

How WorkWell can support you

Our team will work with you to develop a personalised plan tailored to your needs. Support may include:

  • Identifying and addressing barriers affecting your work prospects
  • Advice on workplace adjustments and returning to work
  • Help accessing training, skills development, and employment opportunities
  • Connecting you with specialist health, wellbeing, and community services

Who can access WorkWell support?

You may be eligible for WorkWell if you are:

  • Employed or self-employed and experiencing health-related challenges that are affecting your ability to work
  • Employed or self-employed and at risk of leaving work due to poor health
  • Recently unemployed where a health condition has significantly contributed to your unemployment
  • Looking for support to manage a health condition and improve your ability to stay in or return to work

Eligibility will be discussed as part of the referral process.
