Supporting People, Businesses, and Communities in Yorkshire and Humber
The Growth Company delivers employment, health, and justice services across Yorklshire, Humber, and Lincolnshire. We help people access the right support to expand their skills, improve their wellbeing, and find, stay in, and return to work.
To achieve the best possible outcomes, we work with local authorities, employers, VCFSE organisations, and government departments and agencies, including the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), Ministry of Justice (MOJ), and Creating Future Opportunities (CFO).
Our programmes support a wide range of people, including jobseekers, young people, disabled people, people managing physical or mental health conditions, and those facing complex barriers to employment. We also work with employers to connect local people with job opportunities and provide recruitment support.
We deliver services in different parts of Yorkshire, including Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham, and Sheffield, as well as Leeds, Bradford, and Huddersfield. We also work in Hull, Scunthorpe, and Grimsby. Through partnerships with local commissioners and supply chain organisations, our aim is to deliver inclusive, sustainable growth for people, businesses, and communities.
Connect to Work – Sheffield & Rotherham
Connect to Work is a government-funded programme that helps people with more complex barriers to get work-confident, find a job, and stay in it.
Creating Future Opportunities (CFO) Evolution
CFO Evolution is a Ministry of Justice programme that works with people in prison and people on probation to reduce re-offending and reinforce the value of leading law-abiding lives. The programme provides a safe space and access to many social, creative and group activities, as well as tailored support.
Finance, Benefits and Debt Service (FBD)
A Ministry of Justice contract – commissioned by HM Prison and Probation Service and delivered by the Growth Company – the Finance, Benefit, and Debt service aims to support people in eight prisons across Yorkshire and the Humber with a range of financial issues.
Pathways To Work
Pathways To Work is a new programme designed to tackle high rates of economic inactivity and boost employment in Sheffield. The programme aims to help people find, stay in, or return to work, with specific support available for those with health conditions.
Personal Wellbeing Services
The Growth Company's Personal Wellbeing Service works with people on probation to build resilience, confidence, and positive self-image. The programme is delivered in community venues across the North West and Yorkshire and the Humber, with the option to participate online if preferred and appropriate.
Restart Scheme
Commissioned by the Department for Work and Pensions, the Restart Scheme provides up to 12 months of enhanced support to help people find a job in their local area. The Growth Company delivers the Restart Scheme in South Yorkshire on behalf of Maximus.
United for Ukraine
United for Ukraine is a coalition of business stakeholders from across the North of England supporting Ukrainian refugees arriving in the UK. The initiative is focused on a digital platform, created by the Growth Company, which connects employers with evacuees.
